As a Conflict Resolution Practitioner, I utilize the Evaporating Cloud method from the Theory of Constraints, among other strategies, to help individuals, teams, and organizations navigate conflicts towards more harmony. This method, which focuses on identifying and challenging assumptions that underlie conflicts, serves as a guiding principle in my professional and personal life.

The blog title, “Rising Above The Clouds”, reflects this approach. When we rise above our metaphorical ‘clouds’ of conflict, we gain a broader perspective and are better equipped to challenge the assumptions that feed these conflicts. It is this perspective – this human ability to ‘rise above’ – that I aim to share with you through this blog. I trust you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy writing it.

Hi, I am Karl Perry.

Some people call me ‘The Harmony Guy’ because I transform conflict into harmony.

I specialise in harnessing conflict – the kind that can be particularly costly and disruptive for organisations. With over 20 years of experience in coaching, facilitating, training, and mentoring, and a deep understanding of HR, IR, and OD, I focus on transforming conflict into harmony using well-researched, scientific, and systems-based methods.

My core competencies include conflict resolution, interest-based problem-solving, collective negotiations, coaching, training, leadership development and High Performance through Engagement. I am Jonah trained and highly proficient with the Theory of Constraints Thinking Process.

My purpose is to empower leaders and teams to achieve harmony and high performance in a fast-changing, complex, and global work environment.

🏅You could think of me as being like a professional sports coach, standing on the sidelines, helping players maximise their performance individually, work together as a team and using a well-researched playbook to achieve the highest possible levels of performance.

The 1992 United States men’s Olympic basketball team, nicknamed the “Dream Team”, was once described as “the greatest collection of basketball talent on the planet”. Michael Jordan described it differently. He described them as having the best harmony.

💼 My work spans multiple sectors, including aviation, finance, tourism, education, public sector and health. I have facilitated hundreds of problems solving teams and negotiations, and I have worked with leaders at all levels from across the globe.
