Karl Perry utilizes a unique blend of methodologies to address and resolve conflicts within a company. One of these is the Evaporating Cloud method, a tool from the Theory of Constraints. This method is used to identify and logically challenge the underlying assumptions causing a conflict, ultimately finding solutions that evaporate the conflict. The Three Cloud Method, also from the Theory of Constraints, is used to discover key leverage points to optimise a return on investment of effort, time and money.
He also uses Interest Based Problem Solving, a method particularly effective in reducing interpersonal conflict between specialists or teams. It focuses on the underlying interests of the parties involved rather than their stated positions, leading to more effective, mutually beneficial solutions. One of the tools Karl uses toaccelerate Interest Based Problem Solving is the Group Styles Inventory™ from Human Synergistics International. The Group Styles Inventory™ supports behavioural awareness that is critical to group performance.
In his work with systemic conflict within companies, he introduces The 3C’s Model, which includes Commercial Responsibility, Customer Value, and a Constructive Culture. The 3C’s Model explains the inherent tension between these three aspects of a company. The HPtE Strategy® is then used to help uncover and evaporate the conflicts that could be limiting the company’s performance. The HPtE Strategy® is designed to increase the overall harmony within an organization. The amount of harmony present in an organization can be measured by the social norms relating to security and satisfaction. Karl uses the Organizational Culture Inventory® (OCI®) to measure harmony. In addition the Organizational Effectiveness Inventory (OEI) can be used to measure 31 causal factors, or levers, to support the change of social norms.
Finally, his proprietary coaching programs, MYMindset® and MYLeadership®, which combine the Evaporating Cloud, Three Cloud Method and the Life Styles Inventory™, are designed to foster self-awareness, improve communication, and build leadership capabilities, contributing to a more harmonious and productive work environment.
