You sharpen a pencil by removing from the blunt part, not by adding to it.

Leadership development is the same.

You get better, and faster, results by removing thinking and behaviour habits that act as a handbrake.

You could focus on your strengths, that is, the constructive habits, but you won’t get the same return on investment of effort. Putting your foot on the accelerator doesn’t work that well if you still have the brakes on.
