Have you been made redundant? What now?

Firstly, I’m sorry to hear it. It can be a tough time. I have felt that uncertainty. I have also coached a lot of people that have been where you are.

Hi, I am Karl Perry.

I am a professional coach, but, I am more like the guy that stands on the sideline at the big rugby or basketball games and helps the players perform at their best.

I help people when they get stuck and don’t know how to move forward.  I help them find the “sweet spot” that helps them perform at their highest levels.

A double degree in Psychology and Education, an Accredited Practitioner in the Human Synergistics suite of development tools and mastery of systems thinking, makes me a great coach for people from executives right down to the front line. I have coached hundreds of people from all walks of life over the past ten years. Enough about me …

So, how can I help you?

Here is the thing.

When we are under threat or pressure we tend to think and behave in ways that protect us. They are called security-based behaviours. They look like this:

The problem with these ways of thinking is that they act like a handbrake. Avoidance, for example, feels safe. The problem is, too much avoidance and nothing gets done. You end up doing nothing but sitting on the couch eating chocolate or crisps. Or, you take up the fight with oppositional and power, but, too much and it becomes all-consuming and exhausting. You end up being no use to anyone.

If you have been made redundant, or for that matter, feel any sense of insecurity, the last thing you need is a handbrake. To be effective you need more satisfaction based thinking styles.

Satisfaction based thinking has a proven to link to:

  • Greater feelings of satisfaction
  • Increased effectiveness
  • Improved well-being
  • More creativity
  • Reduced stress
  • Higher salary levels
  • Greater job responsibilities
  • Professional success

It looks like this:

How can I help you get there?

I can coach you to move from security-based thinking to satisfaction based thinking. From pain toward gain. It looks a bit like this:

It lights me up when I see people have major breakthroughs and then go on to achieve a level of performance they thought was impossible.  Using structured thinking processes and a robust and reliable psychometric assessment you can produce significantly better and faster results than traditional coaching practices.
