I have been a great advocate of the Theory of Constraints Thinking Processes since 2005. Every system, whether it be an individual’s system of beliefs and values, a team’s system of engagement rules or an organisation’s system of policy and procedures has a constraint (also described as a weakest link). This blog highlights the power of knowing what that constraint is. Most systems have one or two key constraints. If you can find them they are the leverage point for greater achievement of the whole system.
